About Henry Guerrero
I began my career as a Structural Engineer, supporting senior engineers in the design of multi-family residential buildings up to five stories. I contributed to structural design from roof to foundation, coordinating gravity and lateral systems and developing code-compliant solutions throughout the entire structure. This hands-on experience gave me a strong understanding of how buildings are designed, detailed, and constructed in practice.I later transitioned into forensic engineering, where I now assist in construction defect investigations and construction administration. In this role, I help evaluate building failures, analyze structural and envelope-related issues, and support restoration projects through project oversight and coordination. My background in structural design has made this transition seamless, allowing me to efficiently identify root causes and understand construction issues from both a design and field perspective.
