As Lead Maintenance Engineer for MEU division • Elaborated and implemented a strategic Plant Shutdown & Startup to or from total Power Blackout condition. Coordinating all required switching on HV, MV & LV breakers. • Created JOPs, ECPs and JSAs for Utility MTEs for routine tasks like Protective Relays calibration, Substation Switching, Battery banks inspection, and others serviced electrical equipment. • Identify critical operation equipment and provide them with an alternate electrical power source to guarantee continued operation in proper protection coordination using easyPower. • Designed new SCADA for the Electrical system that includes upgrade 90% of protective relays, Remote operation of medium voltage breakers, energy meters, HMIs and data collection. Using SEL product line; and actually, working on algorithm to implement a predictive maintenance on high voltage breakers and switchgears. • Direct the conduction of the Arc Flash study for the plant to meet and NFPA-70E Standards, • Managed the upgrade of the Plant Radio Communication with a Harris Platform achieving to reduce queue time and lost calls. • Coordinate all required specialized training for High Energy MTEs, like Arc Flash, Ultrasound, Thermographic, Breaker PMs, Battery Bank PMs and so on. • Conceptualize, Justify, develop and implemented drone operation in the plant to do visual and thermographic inspections on buildings structure, roofs, pipeline, medium voltage power system and row materials. Saving 250K/year on inspections.
