I joined Fakenham Academy with the specific target to improve Chemistry achievement within the school. Working within the science department I progressed to 2nd in Science and took up teaching A-Level Chemistry. In this role I had a variety of responsibilities:• Teaching Science 11 – 18 year olds: exceeding academic targets in each year of teaching.• Improving Chemistry grades in all year groups, with GCSE and A-Level grade significantly increase to above national average. Helping the school to achieve to be ranked in the top 20% for progress in Science grades nationally.• Designing and resourcing KS3 science curriculum, GCSE Chemistry and Physics and A-Level Chemistry.• Running and resourcing the Sixth Form EPQ qualification.• Mentoring trainee teachers• Delivering CPD sessions to whole school teaching staff
