About Henrique Ribeiro

I’m a Electrical Engineering student at the University of Maryland focused on building systems at the intersection of hardware and software, where performance, reliability, and scalability are critical.Most recently, I accepted an incoming Systems Engineering (IT Sustainability) internship with Lockheed Martin’s Aeronautics division, where I will support engineering and data workflows that improve lifecycle performance and operational visibility of advanced aerospace systems. I previously interned with Lockheed Martin, where I contributed to the modernization of a large-scale competition registration platform in a security-focused engineering environment.I currently serve as a Web & Technology Fellow and Project Manager at Seaside Sustainability. I lead architecture decisions, coordinate a distributed development team, and manage the implementation of a full website modernization initiative, including the migration of legacy infrastructure to a scalable WordPress-based platform designed to improve maintainability, performance, and long-term scalability.I also serve as an Autodesk Design & Make Ambassador, collaborating with a global community of student engineers and creators to explore applied engineering design, system-level thinking, and emerging technologies through hands-on technical projects.Beyond formal roles, I enjoy bridging engineering concepts with real-world applications through mentorship, technical collaboration, and interdisciplinary projects.My technical interests center on embedded systems, low-level programming, and hardware–software integration. I enjoy working close to the system through microcontrollers, automation workflows, and performance-aware software design. I am also exploring emerging computing paradigms, including quantum computing and physics-driven computing systems.I work primarily with Python, Java, C++, and Swift, and I value clean architecture, security-focused design, and thoughtful engineering tradeoffs. I am most energized by environments where I can take ownership, learn quickly, and contribute to systems that are technically rigorous and meaningfully impactful.I am a Presidential Scholar at the University of Maryland and am interested in opportunities related to embedded systems engineering, automation, aerospace systems, and research-driven engineering roles.
