ABOUT MARK HENDRIKSEN

I am a children\'s book author with over five years of experience crafting engaging, humorous, and educational content for young readers. My latest books,\'The Easter Bunny\'s Funny Tummy\', out now, and \'The Poo who screamed Boo!\' and \'Rudolph\'s Christmas Mischief\' are due to be published in 2026. These follow on from,\"All Animals Poo and We Do Too\" in August 2023, with endorsements on each from Terry Deary, the acclaimed award-winning author of \"Horrible Histories.\" I focus on blending creativity and entertainment to inspire children aged 4-10yrs. They could also be used as a seasonal \'gift\' for a subject-appropriate company or brand.Prior to becoming a children\'s author, I built a distinguished career in retail management at Harrods, and subsequently in tourism publishing, including serving as CEO and publisher for a global visitor guide company. My work spans from Retail, to Publishing, and then reviving Corfu\'s historic village of Old Perithia, while co-developing the award-winning Merchant\'s House Boutique Hotel and gaining substantial international media coverage, and three TripAdvisor Travellers\' Choice Awards for both.I also mentored the author of the,\'Academy of Barmy Composers - ABC of Opera\', getting the first book\'s publication contract, incl. a series of 3 more. I am driven by a passion for storytelling, caring about people, bringing joy and happiness, and a commitment to delivering meaningful, memorable experiences for my audience and the wide range of charities our family trust supports.Based in West Hampstead in London, Mark is a yogi and part-time traditional sourdough baker [10+ years]. He is on the Advisory Board of the Anglo-Netherlands Society, and a trustee of the Patrick and Helena Frost Charitable Trust, established by his Aunt,\'Ena\', and supporting a wide number of highly impactful and passionate charities.
