I’m an investor in the Private Companies Team at Baillie Gifford. We seek to invest in the select group of the world’s 30 to 50 best private growth companies, regardless of sector or geography. We’re long-term owners, with a track record of supporting our holdings over the timescales they need to grow into industry-leading businesses. That often amounts to staying a shareholder for a decade and more: our evergreen vehicles and long-lived funds allow us to invest across those time horizons and to continue to hold investee companies even after they enter public markets.
