Innovation in Timber Construction for Sustainable and Affordable HousingAs a Senior Structural Engineer in the Building System Team at GROPYUS, my team and I are responsible for- the complete structural design of timber buildings, including statics and detailing- communication with all internal teams, such as architecture, building physics, execution, production, and software- ensuring a seamless digital process from project development to the digital twin- parameterization and automation of key steps in the digitized workflow, such as the automatic generation of structural 3D models.Additionally, I am part of the Sustainability Team at GROPYUS, where I work on circularity in our buildings and develop the dismantling verification and adaptability guidelines in accordance with EU taxonomy.Furthermore, I support the Research and Development Team in developing innovative new concepts for timber construction elements. In this role, we collaborate with academic institutions and manufacturers.GROPYUS delivers a sustainable, aspirational, and affordable product.
