ABOUT HENDRA WIJAYA
I help organizations and leaders understand how people, culture, and decision-making work in practice—and turn that into clearer strategy, stronger culture, and better leadership decisions. I do this through rigorous qualitative research—generating clear, decision-ready insight. Most organizations have plenty of data, but not enough clarity into why things happen—resistance to change, misalignment across teams, inconsistent execution. I lead and coach qualitative work that turns messy human dynamics into clear drivers, patterns, and actionable recommendations.Since 2012, I’ve coached and reviewed ~500 qualitative research projects at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. The work spans start-ups to multinationals across public/private sectors and diverse industries: consumer goods, finance, energy, government, and technology/digital platforms. This breadth has trained me to spot patterns across contexts and translate what people experience into insights leaders can use for decisions and execution.I’ve also designed and delivered ~250 workshops on organizational dynamics and qualitative methods (interviewing, ethnographic fieldwork/in-context observation, secondary data, coding/analysis, synthesis, and process frameworks), and supported researchers through ~250 in-depth 1:1 coaching sessions. In parallel, I\'ve supported a boutique professional services firm serving ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) residential clients, strengthening execution on high-stakes, multi-party projects by providing strategic decision support and building operating rhythms: diagnosing stakeholder dynamics, shaping client communication strategy, and translating on-the-ground signals into clearer priorities and follow-through.Strengths I bring to organizations:• High-quality qualitative research & synthesis (interviews, ethnography, thematic analysis)• Culture and change diagnosis (resistance drivers, adoption barriers, execution risks)• Insight-to-action translation + stakeholder communication (executive-ready recommendations)I’m especially well-suited for work involving:• Strategy and transformation initiatives grounded in real human behavior• Leadership development and executive assessment• Employee experience research and people-centered decision support• Qualitative insight informing product, service, or policy decisions• Educational/facilitation work in qualitative methods and organizational behavior (corporate or academic)If you want an evidence-based read on what’s really happening in your organization—and what to do next—I’d love to connect.
