Execute buyout and growth equity co-investments and underwrite private equity and venture capital fund commitments • Establish Cleveland Clinic as a credible and attractive private equity co-investor • Continually review fund portfolio companies to identify co-investment candidates • Curate a pipeline of viable co-investment opportunities through proactive outreach • Perform comprehensive due diligence on companies being considered for co-investment • Develop professional opinions on the merits of co-investments, including constrain views • Prepare detailed investment memoranda to document co-investment recommendations • Present co-investment recommendations to other members of the Investment Office • Collaborate with the legal department and investment operations team to transact • Maintain detailed records regarding all co-investment opportunities and decisions • Prepare periodic co-investment portfolio reports detailing performance and risk exposures • Manage the portfolio’s exposure to risks and factors such as sector, manager, size and fees • Assist with presentations for the Finance Committee and the Investment Committee • Periodically meet with GPs to review financial performance of companies in the portfolio • Travel to attend in-person meetings with fund managers and company management teams • Lead underwriting process for select private equity and venture capital fund commitments
