About Henrique Barbosa
As an ex-Olympic swimmer with two Olympic Games under my belt, Beijing and London, I have always been driven by a passion for excellence and a determination to succeed. As a student-athlete, I attended the University of California at Berkeley, where I earned a degree while also achieving great success in the pool. As the current South American Record holder on the 200 meters breaststroke, a former NCAA champion in the 100 yd breaststroke and 200 yd breaststroke, and a multi-medalist at the Pan-American Games, I understand the importance of focus, dedication, and hard work in achieving one\'s goals. My experience as a high-performance athlete has translated well to my professional life. I started at Genesis as the 10th employee and was the first employee at Genesis outside of London. Over the years, I have played a key role in helping the company grow from 10 people to 300 people, and in opening offices in Miami, Charlotte, and Sao Paulo. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, I was able to successfully open the Brazilian office, which now boasts over 40 employees. One of my proudest achievements has been working closely with Wealth Management Clients, helping them with disruptive projects that led to a powerful solution covering multi-asset classes from the portfolio rebalance phase (front-office) all the way to allocations (back-office). As part of the Executive Committee of Genesis, I am proud to continue driving the company\'s success and helping our clients achieve their goals. Overall, my background as an athlete has instilled in me the importance of teamwork, determination, and a never-give-up attitude. These traits have served me well in my professional career, and I am excited to continue using them to help drive success for Genesis and its clients.
