About Hena Patel
Hello! I’m Hena Patel, a Computer Science student in the Honors Program at Temple University and a Dean’s Global Scholar, graduating in December 2025. I’m passionate about building human-centered, accessible, and responsible technologies, especially at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and real-world impact.I have hands-on experience as a full-stack developer and undergraduate researcher, working with technologies like React, React Native, FastAPI, Node.js, Firebase, Docker, and Git. My work spans AI-powered platforms, mobile applications, and accessibility-focused APIs, including research in human-computer interaction and responsible AI.Beyond development, I enjoy applying data analysis and machine learning to uncover insights, improve usability, and support evidence-based decision-making. I’ve collaborated in agile teams, contributed to IRB-approved research studies, and helped turn early-stage ideas into functional, scalable products.Outside of technical work, I’m deeply involved in the tech community, serving in leadership roles with ACM-W and Temple Data Science, mentoring students through being a TA for College of Science and Technology Professional Development Program.
