Hemi is the former CEO & founding member of j2 Global (JCOM) now split into 2 public companies Ziff Davis (ZD) and Consensus (CCSI). Hemi is the Managing Partner of OCV,$170M Los Angeles-based venture fund that invests in, owns, and operates companies in the information technology & healthcare sectors with the objective of creating sustainable long-term value.Prior to OCV, Hemi served as the Chief Executive Officer of j2 Global (NASDAQ: JCOM), a employees company he co founded in 1996. During his tenure, he led the company\'s IPO in and grew the company to ~$6 Billion market Cap in 2017 and annual revenue run-rate reached over $1.25 Billion. and acquired 165 cloud technology / media companies around the world, making the company one of the most acquisitive tech companies in the U.S. and worldwide. With hemi\'s leadership. J2 has achieved 25 consecutive fiscal years of revenue growth and is an active acquirer of businesses, having deployed over $3 billion of acquisition capital since its founding.Before joining j2, Hemi worked at Motorola in the U.S. and Israel, where he is originally from. He helped launched Israel’s first (and one of the world’s first) cellular companies, consolidated Israel’s messaging industry through M&A, and later also worked on an early wireless data commercial network in the U.S. Hemi serves on multiple boards, including: SocialNative, SafeBreach, ByHeart, Ossio, OrcaAi. Venn and the Board of Governors AFTAU-Tel Aviv University Hemi also served On the boards of LegalZoom, and SmartClixx. Personably investing in several funds with focus on IoT, big data, ad-tech, and multiple real-estate investments in hotels and student housing in major prime cities.
