ABOUT HEMANT KUMAR

A social entrepreneur with 12+ years of experience in sustainability initiatives. I spearheaded a pioneering initiative on education reform in India. Experienced in building a mission-driven social enterprise from a prototype, and experimenting stage to driving an impact narrative, resulting in advocacy and policy reform in the public sphere. I facilitated the merger of my enterprise with a high-net-worth individual-owned entity. Skilled at business development, curating impact coalitions, impact measurement, and managing boards with industry leaders. I have worked with diverse stakeholders like government, corporates, CSRs, philanthropists, international foundations and civil society organizations. Demonstrated record of success in building teams and managing multi-locational operations. Hold a master\'s from University College London (UCL), a global top 10 university, studying Prosperity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. My dissertation explores coalitions for social impact, by applying the systems approach, to design first of its kind cognitive map on the topic. I am passionate about systems change, sustainability, and impact networks/alliances. In my next professional stint, I aspire to experiment with social impact collectives as a model with communities and citizens at its core, merging it with a top-down consulting approach (government, Philanthropic foundations, corporate) to draw the best from both spaces for a sustainable future.
