About Hemanta D.
I hold a PhD in vibro-acoustics from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India. I specialise in analytical and numerical modelling for vibration analysis and noise control. My research focuses on:• Mathematical modelling of coupled vibro-acoustic problems and finding their solutions using both analytical and numerical methods.• Sound radiation from vibrating structures.• Sound transmission through partitions.• Enhancing sound absorption using perforation. • Quantifying the shifts in natural frequencies of a vibrating structure as it transitions from air to water. In my master\'s thesis, I simulated a bio-inspired robot using MSC.ADAMS®-SIMULINK co-simulation, performed bond graph modelling to analyze system dynamics and constructed a prototype for real-time experimental validation.
