About Hemal Kotecha
As the President of Development CoE and Middleware Technologies at YES BANK, I lead the technology initiatives for API banking, microservice, and internal Java and DotNet CoE. I have over 20 years of experience in product development, architecting, and innovation, with a focus on digital payments and mobility solutions.I have successfully incubated and set up several new lines of products and solutions involving digital payments for banks and merchants, such as UPI, AEPS, IMPS, domestic money transfer, and BBPS. Have also migrated and upgraded the mobile banking and wallet applications to enhance user experience and security. I am passionate about driving research and technology innovation, empowering the center of excellence team, and creating technical skills and competency at the organizational level. I hold an MBA degree from IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis, and have published an article on the scope and advantages of UPI in Banking Frontiers.
