ABOUT BHAVANA RAO
As a kid, it’s an odd thing to fall in love with manufacturing but I did. Once I realized people could design systems that make the same product, the same way, at scale, I was hooked.Maybe it was my “thatha” (grandpa’s) job as a factory worker. Or maybe it was the Maggi instant noodles that did it. But there a core memory and a vision was born. I studied chemical engineering and food technology to build products that make everyday life a little better. Medical cannabis was an amazing crash course into all things Startup. Here I found how to take blank walls to real production and scale to millions without compromising quality.Somewhere along the way, I got obsessed with supercritical CO₂ extraction. Now I’m exploring CO₂ decaffeination at origin project in India, and I’m talking to roasters around the world to bring decaf at origin conveniently in carbon neutral way.
