ABOUT HELEN WILSON

I am an experienced Litigation and Dispute Management lawyer and Solicitor-Advocate with rights of audience in all courts in England and Wales for civil matters and am qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and Scotland. I am also a Deputy District Judge on the Wales Circuit.My experience includes dealing with high value disputes relating to contracts including secured and unsecured lending including allegations of fraud and undue influence; third party interests; Land Registry indemnity claims; compliance; and contractual disputes including payment protection insurance. In addition to this work, I have experience in regulatory investigations; professional negligence; asset finance recoveries and unsecured recoveries. I have experience of managing large multi-disciplinary teams of lawyers dealing with a portfolios of litigation including property litigation (repossession, title disputes, fraud, third forgery) and claims for financial and commercial clients including invoice recovery, salary overpayments, breach of contract, broker commission recoveries and restitutionary claims for overpayments.I have a strong understanding of issues facing clients and have managed the day to day relationships for some of the most high-profile clients of the firm. I have been independently recognised as an expert in the field of Banking Litigation by the Legal 500, which describes me as ‘a fighter for her clients’ interests’.I also have 2 years experience as Senior In-House Counsel with Eversheds Sutherland\'s Risk & Compliance (Legal & Regulatory) team which focuses on the firm\'s compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations. I dealt with a number of issues for the firm, including SRA and FCA regulatory compliance, data protection, business continuity, risk and compliance policies, procedures and training, complaints and conflict queries.
