ABOUT HELENE MANTINEO

Working in the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative laboratory environment at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a research associate and lab manager has given me insight into the value of industry and academic collaboration. During my time at the Broad Institute, I have been able to gain important laboratory skills as well as continuing to develop strong organizational and team management skills. My top priority is to gain a deeper understanding of translational research. My passion is working to include underrepresented minorities in science research, both at the consumer and researcher levels. My goal is to aid in the translation of science to the non-scientific community and to help the public trust in science again.
