ABOUT HELENE ALEX
Broadcast journalist - work in French and English, mainly TV and Radio (BBC Infos, BBC Afrique) I work mainly on African stories, but I am interested in all kind of global news. Based in Senegal for 4 years, I am in London since July 2014. After my Master at IEP de Lyon in Journalism and Communication, I went to Dakar, where I have been working for different national and international media, before joining the BBC as an anchorwoman, newsreader, producer and reporter. I also have had the opportunity to do ground reports and to live cover stories in Africa and in Europe: elections in Senegal, in Mali, scottish referendum, Charlie Hebdos attacks, COP21. I have been hosting debates many times and I even happen do to sports news (and to my big pride, to present a 2 hours show dedicated to women in sports) I have been covering many different topics, from big political meetings to P Square concerts, trials and riots, health and social matters.
