An 18-month program developing leadership skills through hands-on training, a six-week summer research experience, and a six-week summer immersive service-learning project. In my first year, I will work with the Garlick Lab and center my research around scleroderma (a rare and often life-threatening autoimmune disease) and how it is studied in the laboratory to support the development of more effective and equitable treatments.

ABOUT HELENA TEH
I am a student at Tufts University aiming to pursue a major in Biology with the goal of entering the medical field, specializing in pediatrics. Through experiences like shadowing doctors and engaging in service work in dementia care and early childhood education, I have developed strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills. These experiences have strengthened my desire to improve children\'s health and well-being through both clinical practice and community service.
