Jet2.com is a British low-cost leisure airline offering scheduled and charter flights from the United Kingdom. It is the third largest scheduled airline in the UK. Joining in March 2021 my role has been to re-establish the Referencing (Security Vetting) processes and procedures which have changed since the global pandemic – moving from an outsourced to in-house function. The role requires a focus on working to tight timeframes to ensure there is no operational impact caused by Referencing being incomplete for colleagues. My role includes:• Operational responsibility for the delivery of all Referencing for the UK (In-House) and a sector of Overseas (Outsourced)(Circa colleagues in 2023 & anticipated circa colleagues in 2024). This includes all Flight Deck, Cabin Crew, Ground Operations, Head Office, Engineering and Warehousing colleagues• Ensure compliance is achieved to both organizational standards and Aviation Regulations• Creation of operational process and then ensuring continuous operational efficiencies• Delivery of weekly Operational updates to the Management Team focused on meeting SLA’s• Creation and cascade of Operational reporting both structured and adhoc in line with organizational needs• Direct & indirect Line Management and direction of a team of 8 in non-peak and up to 28 at peak• Responsible for all Operational Training and Development of all direct and Indirect Reports• Management of Relationship with external providers and suppliers• Counter Terrorism Check (CTC’s) and Accreditation Check (AC) process management and delivery
