ABOUT HELEN WINTER

I work with organisations to close the gap between strategy and execution — ensuring that transformation delivers measurable business outcomes, not just activity. My focus is on aligning commercial models, governance, and delivery so that organisations can operate with greater control, predictability, and performance. This includes designing operating models, strengthening financial and delivery governance, improving programme and portfolio oversight, and embedding ways of working that scale. With over 20 years’ experience across multiple sectors, I’ve led and shaped enterprise transformation initiatives spanning commercial model redesign, PMO and governance capability, programme mobilisation, operating model design, agile and hybrid delivery approaches, and performance reporting. My work is grounded in the practical realities of how organisations function, with a focus on addressing the structural issues that determine whether change succeeds. I’ve worked closely with executive leadership teams to improve financial control, reduce delivery risk, and increase transparency of performance including contributing to transformation initiatives delivering significant cost savings and improved commercial outcomes. I am the author of The Business Analysis Handbook (finalist for major industry awards). I contribute to the Association for Project Management Programme Management SIG and share insights on transformation, operating models, and delivery effectiveness through BusinessBullet.co.uk. My career spans roles from business analysis through to transformation leadership, giving me an end-to-end perspective on how organisations plan, deliver, and embed change.
