ABOUT HELEN MURRAY

As the Executive Headteacher at Avocet Academy Trust, I lead, support, and develop five primary schools across the East Suffolk region, with a focus on enhancing the quality of education and the wellbeing of the pupils and staff. I have over six years of experience as a Headteacher at Wickham Market Primary School, where I successfully improved the school\'s performance, reputation, and culture.With a proven background in developing English, Phonics, Early Years outdoor areas and leading Primary Schools in Suffolk I am passionate about developing strong communities, enriching the lives of our young people and creating opportunities and success for citizens of our future. I have a BA Hons degree in English Literature and Drama and Verbal Arts from the University of Portsmouth, QTS from North Hampshire Graduate Teacher Training programme and an NPQH. I am currently studying for a NPQEL - National Professional Qualification for Executive Leaders I have strong skills in curriculum design, staff development, coaching and educational leadership. As an Executive Headteacher, I work collaboratively with the Heads of Schools and the MAT SLT to ensure the best outcomes for the academy and the community. My mission is to inspire, empower, and nurture the next generation of learners and leaders.
