Find Helen\'s portfolio website at: Helen is a multidisciplinary city builder with a passion for community design, active transportation, environmental leadership and human centered design. As a planner by training, a designer by experience, and a communicator at heart, Helen is driven by designing and communicating the complex processes that make up everyday life. In her architecture undergraduate, she learned how to communicate built form designs through imagery. In her planning masters\', she learned the processes necessary to create that built form. Now, she creates, influences, analyzes, and explains complex city building practices that are used by the everyday public to make equitable and inclusive change. Some highlights from Helen\'s recent experience include:* Developing unique planning and design documents, including a Small Town Feel Framework, a Reading Place Toolkit, and Community Sustainability Plans while with Intelligent Futures, a Community Improvement Plan with Grey County, and an Equitable Development Toolkit with Parkdale People\'s Economy;* Facilitating engagement activities with a diversity of public and private stakeholder groups for circular economy roadmaps, land use bylaws, biodiversity plans, municipal development plans, and transportation master plans while at Intelligent Futures;* Creating maps for land use systems and affordable housing siting tools while at Intelligent Futures, detailed heritage maps for ERA architects, and interactive web maps for Bikeshare Toronto analysis;* Coordinating volunteers, vendors and applications for the the Eglinton Way BIA\'s Farmers\' Market in 2019;* Leading research design and delivery for economic development and global greenbelt reports for the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation;* Receiving The Eddie Yolles Award in Urban Planning, one of two graduating class awards from the University of Toronto\'s class of 2019;* Receiving a scholarship to research and photograph experiences with road building in rural regions of Dolakah, Nepal;* Placing in the top 10 (only Canadian Finalist) in the Duck Brand Duct Tape Stuck at Prom competition in 2011.
