I do the preliminary edit on all peer-reviewed articles for the journal to conform to house and APA style and to ensure clarity and technical accuracy. This also includes verifying the accuracy of all references and citations, and often involves extensive rewriting of manuscripts from nonnative English speakers. I also curate photos for JSAD\'s online database of alcohol and other drug-related pictures.I represent the journal at various professional conferences and exhibits in the United States and Canada, where I market the journal to institutions and individuals and solicit manuscripts from researchers. This has led to an increase in the number of article submissions to the journal.
