I often get asked what exactly it is that Home Instead Portsmouth does \'in a nutshell\', so here goes. We love to combat loneliness in older people. Did you know that you have the same negative effect from loneliness as you do from smoking 15 cigarettes a day? We love to spend time with our gorgeous older people, giving them space and time to share their stories, and help them to reconnect with the world and feel valued. We build relationships and have the same person visit at the same time each week so that we really get to know you. We won\'t go for less than a hour - who can fit a decent natter into less than an hour! We build upon strengths and maximise potential. Whether you’re 8 or 88, everyone has hopes, dreams, potential, and ambitions. We’re here to make that happen. Talk to us, you\'ll have picked up on the fact that we love a good natter!
