ABOUT HELEN ANTONELLI

I am a Chartered Tax Adviser who has specialised in providing corporate tax advice for over 37 years.I started my career with a small local firm of accountants and then moved to Coopers & Lybrand in 1988. I have stayed with this firm through its various mergers with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and then Price Waterhouse to reach where it is today - PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.During my tax career I have advised companies of varying sizes from owner-managed businesses through to subsidiaries of global companies and during the last few years I have focussed on larger UK companies who are owned by overseas companies. There are a number of specific corporate tax issues relevant to these types of companies and I enjoy the challenge of this type of tax advice.I have gained extensive experience during my career in tax and this includes advising on the following: tax efficient structuring and financing, tax due diligence, acquisitions and disposals, group reorganisations, tax reporting, tax accounting and tax compliance. I have also provided corporate tax advice in many specialist areas such as Research and Development, Patent Box, Controlled Foreign Companies, the Substantial Shareholdings Exemption, UK and overseas withholding tax, intellectual property and tax anti-avoidance provisions.
