ABOUT HELEN ALBRECHT
My aspirations for going into medicine are driven by a passion for holistic and supportive patient care. Throughout my time at UCLA I have dedicated time to multiple organizations supporting children with life threatening illnesses including my role as president and founder of B+ at UCLA which works to financially and emotionally support families battling childhood cancer. I continue this mission through my research assistant position within Project Care, a UCLA Medicine program conducting research in pediatric palliative care. My past experience with my own cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment interweaves and impacts every role within medicine I have taken on and is what drives me to be the best future physician I can possibly be.
