About Helai Ghani
Dr. Ghani obtained her medical degree from the American University of Antigua. She went on to Case Western Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio for her Pediatric residency where she completed her senior year research project on \"The current health practices of pediatric Obese patients at MHMC.\" This sparked her interest to help obese patients and their families develop healthy lifestyles and routines. She then joined the Pediatric urgent care team at Akron Children\'s Hospital for five years before returning to her hometown where she joined a highly diverse general pediatric private practice. Dr. Ghani has participated in 2 international medical missions overseas and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the AAP Council of Immigrant Child and Family Health (COICFH), and a member of the medical advisory board for Heal. She has received the Dr. Musa and Suhaila Naser Humanitarian Award for her dedication to immigrant child health.
