In my role at First Peoples Fund, I support the organization\'s mission and goals, which focus on uplifting the voices, perspectives, and practices of Indigenous artists and culture bearers. I have developed and implemented a communications strategy that prioritizes the inclusion of Indigenous people and perspectives, fostering ethical and sustainable creative engagement and artistic expression. My responsibilities include collaborating with eight distinct programs within the organization to establish effective systems and processes for their communications needs. I oversee a team of three regular staff members and coordinate with various contracted editors, videographers, and photographers. My work encompasses copywriting, website development, art and design, brand development, printed asset creation, cross-collaboration, and process and systems development, all approached through an Indigenous lens with the utmost care and respect for Indigenous communities and values.
