About Heidi Denick
As a executive experienced in creative, brand, and product design for a wide range of categories, I combine my unique perspective as a theatrical artist / production designer with my experience leading new business development, global growth, and market expansion to drive innovation and design excellence. VISUAL STORYTELLERI began my career in the visual arts and excelled in creating designs that helped bring the story on stage to life. I transitioned to product development in textiles where I designed patterns and developed new material strategy for upholstery, linen, drapery, and wall coverings. I advanced to direct creative design, marketing, product development and management, designing creative materials, brand messaging, campaigns, and products that tell compelling stories. DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE OWNERFrom concept to launch, I lead the product development process for value and manufacturability. While not an engineer, I do think like one. During my career in the theatre, I designed one set that could be used 10 different ways, saving money and time. I carried this skill into the corporate world where I won several awards for designing sustainable textiles and modular products that reduce labor costs with an elevated look and feel. DESIGN THINKER & INNOVATORSolving design challenges with innovative manufacturable solutions is energizing and rewarding. I infuse customer insights into product development strategies, and never shy away from change. I quickly understand and translate complex concepts, messaging, and customer ideas into vision and creative direction that drive innovation. EXECUTIVE LEADERAs an effective communicator at both feet and in the trenches, I serve as a sounding board for the team. I use a balanced left / right brain approach to advise on growth strategy, board presentations, corporate messaging, and company culture. I thrive in defining vision for individual products and entire organizations.I am known for creating value with these strengths:• Conceptual Ideation & Innovation• Creative Problem Solving• Cross-functional Team Building and Leadership• Active Listening, Inclusion & Collaboration“Leadership is about empowering others to achieve things they did not think possible. Leadership is about pointing in the direction, articulating a vision of the world that does not yet exist. Then asking help from others to insure that vision happens.” ~ Simon Sinek
