The Water Institute is an independent, non-profit applied research organization that advances actionable research, technology, and planning to support science-informed decision making. Within the Institute, the Community Resilience Center works with communities to move beyond the assessment and study of risk towards the exploration, co-development, and implementation of community-focused strategies to increase resilience at every level: individual, household, neighborhood, city, state, and national. As a Senior Advisor, I am supporting the Center and Institute by providing expertise and guidance, and by contributing to various research and community action projects. Specific areas of emphasis are flood risk, insurance, and community-led migration.
