ABOUT HEIDI PLATTS

My name is Heidi Platts and I am a fully qualified gold standard RSQP. For the last 5 years I have been a director/manager alongside my husband of our own animal health business. Leven Valley Agriculture Ltd. We employed between 7 and 11 people at any one time, and had 3 branches. Our business has recently been acquired by Mole Valley Farmers. Proven sales history, developing the business from nothing to 1.2 million (in a year) in sales in just 3 years. When in the business plan this goal was set for 5 years. Alongside being a gold RSQP, I am also a fully trained first aider, and have a BSC Hons Degree in Multimedia and Applied Imaging Sciences. Within the last two years I was nominated for the Dairy SQP of the year award and was highly commended, and I won both the MSD Customer Care award and the AHDA Excellency in the Field. I have written many articles for various animal health magazines. I have also recently been offered the RSQP Representative role on the editorial board of the Animal Health Advisor Magazine. I have managed my own staff for 5 years and was one of Leven Valleys, Dairy and poultry experts. I also dealt with all personnel aspects and training of the staff, who were trained to an exceptionally high standard. I feel this and my management skills of running my own business, means I have much to offer a new company.
