ABOUT HEIDI LEVITT
Do you look at The Big Picture? I do. I stand back, observe a situation and end up seeing the answer to a complex problem. Looking at The Big Picture helps me make tough decisions and solve problems – both for myself, and for other people. I rely on my team to help me figure out forward paths. It\'s important to me that the people I work with – employees and customers – have a voice. My door is always open. Communication isn’t just a cornerstone of the way I do business; I’m pretty good at it, too. I love connecting with people, which has translated into many friendships around the world, personally and professionally. Speaking of communication, I am fluent in English and French and I\'m in the process of adding Spanish and German to my repertoire. I can toast in 20 different languages - definitely a skill that comes in handy with all the travel I do! I’ve been called Dora the Explorer more times than I would like to admit. I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world throughout the course of my career and I love it – the food, the language, the culture, the people. I am game for just about anything. I dive into life head-on, with gusto and a positive attitude. You won’t ever catch me saying something like “That’s not my job!” or “That will never work!” I work hard, and I play hard. I believe in the power of networking, which is why it’s important to me to be involved in many different communities around the world - from the Board work I do, to the associations I belong to. Family is so important to me, and I try to run our business like it’s my family. In fact, we employ multiple families within our company - we must be a pretty good place to work! Besides family, integrity is something I value very much, and I expect it from our employees, as well as our supplier and customer partners.
