ABOUT HEIDI KLEINBACH-SAUTER
Dr. Kleinbach-Sauter is an innovative, business, brand and consumer focused R&D Leader with an extensive track record of identifying, developing and commercializing sustainable and large innovation platforms across many foods, beverages, and non-food FMCG categories. She has deep and broad scientific and technical experience in more than 10 different consumer goods categories which have driven impressive, sustainable business results. Her R&D and Innovation responsibilities have spanned across the US, Latin America, Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia. Her leadership and business experience ranges from small entrepreneurial family-owned companies to large global corporations. Prior to her retirement from PepsiCo, Dr. Kleinbach-Sauter served as Senior Vice President Global R&D Snacks and held other global R&D roles during her tenure with PepsiCo and reported to PepsiCo’s Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Science Officer. She served as a member of the PepsiCo enterprise-wide extended leadership team. Before joining PepsiCo, Dr. Kleinbach-Sauter served as Senior Vice President for Altria. She also served as Senior Vice President of R&D at Sara Lee Food and Beverage and Foodservice USA, and as Vice President of R&D for Sara Lee Coffee and Tea based in The Netherlands. Additionally, she led R&D, Quality management and Scientific and Regulatory affairs for the Friesland Campina Group Germany and the Müller Dairy Group in Germany and Europe. She is a non-Executive Board member at Chr. Hansen A/S Denmark, a publicly listed and global leader in the Bioscience industry and a non-Executive Board member at publicly listed Royal Unibrew A/S Denmark. She serves as advisor and shareholder to Step 1 Recovery Centre in Moraira, Spain. Heidi is actively engaged supporting women to thrive in senior leadership positions and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Women\'s Business Collaborative (WBC) located in Washington D.C. Heidi served as founding chair and co-chair of several organizations with focus on attracting young talent into a STEM education and has been named one of “The Top 100 Women Leaders in STEM”.
