About Heidi Abbott

I represent business and industry before local, state and federal legislatures and regulatory agencies on a variety of issues including insurance, affordable housing, privacy, technology, health care, taxation, and environmental issues. This includes drafting legislation, testifying before legislative committees and subcommittees, lobbying, monitoring legislation, implementation of legislative strategies, administration of clients\' political action committees and campaign contributions, and providing advice/strategy for public officials/political candidates. I also represent clients around the country on state government affairs compliance matters including ethics, lobbying and campaign finance laws. My passion lays in working with underserved children throughout the Richmond community. I serve as a Commissioner for the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority and as a member of the Maggie Walker Advisory Committee on Community Wealth Building. One of my greatest joys is working with children in Creighton Court in a weekly bus ministry that promotes love, consistency, and a good bit of fun.
