ABOUT HEET PATEL
I am a beginner-level Junior Estimator at Centrepoint Construction, currently working in the construction industry with a focus on concrete, formwork, and rebar quantity takeoffs. I also assist with excavation estimates when required, depending on the project scope. In my current role, I am learning how to prepare accurate cost estimates by reading drawings and understanding project specifications. I support the team by requesting bonds (bid, performance, and payment) based on tender requirements and reaching out to suppliers for material quotes. I also help calculate haulage, productivity rates, and other cost factors. I’m gaining hands-on experience by coordinating with subcontractors and site workers to stay updated on project progress. I use AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel as part of my daily tasks and am continuously improving my skills through real-world project exposure. I’m eager to grow in the field of construction estimating and develop into a reliable and skilled professional.
