About Eric Heenan
Aloha! I was born in New York, raised in Hawaii, and eventually spent 20 years working in Tokyo for global firms like Cisco Systems and JAC, the third largest search firm in Japan. I also opened the Tokyo offices for two US startup tech firms and can speak Japanese.I moved home to Hawaii in 2017 and started Alaka\'i Executive Search which helps clients across various sectors (financial services, commercial real estate, clean energy, retail, logistics, construction, and engineering) fill critical roles from mid-mgt to senior executive. We have an amazing team of 9 recruiters, some of whom have worked in Europe, NYC, and Japan.I recently moved to Los Angeles and expect to hire additional recruiters here soon. We will primarily focus on Japanese companies growing in the US as well as mainland-based companies looking to expand to Hawaii and Japan. With the upcoming World Cup and Olympics, it\'s an exciting time to be in LA!Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and son and my parents. I enjoy the struggle of staying fit, praying & meditating, trying new restaurants, watching all kinds of sports, and traveling. We go to Japan at least once a year to see relatives and have a few other spots on our bucket list. I am always open to connecting with people who want to do good things in the community.MahaloEric
