ABOUT HEENA SINGH

I graduated with my law degree (B.B.A, LL.B.(Hons.)) from National Law University, Jodhpur with the Vice Chancellor\'s Gold Medal in 2007. In April, 2007, right after my graduation, I was offered the BCL course at the University of Oxford. However, due to financial constraints, I had to instead choose to start my career sooner than I had desired. Thus, in July 2007, I started my career with AZB & Partners. Thereafter, in August 2022, I moved to Talwar Thakore & Associates along with the majority of my team (as a part of a strategic move). Currently, I am working on a secondment with American Tower Corporation (a Fortune 500, public listed company). My core area of practise has been M&A, private equity/ venture capital, joint ventures along with general corporate advisory work. I have represented marquee private equity and venture capital investors, multilateral institutions and multinational firms as well as leading international and Indian corporations and financial institutions. On the transactional side, I mainly represent my clients in relation to their investments/ acquisitions, joint venture formations, corporate structuring and also exits. On the advisory side, I have extensively advised on regulatory issues pertaining to financial services/ payment systems, information technology/ data protection, employment, foreign exchange, e-commerce. My work has been sector agnostic and my experience is spread over a variety of sectors which include telecommunications, re-newable energy, infrastructure, financial sector, payment systems, healthcare, etc.
