Standardize workflow to be able to develop and maintain deep learning models faster, better, and more easily (created a repository of ML and research code named Quetzail, we keep it well maintained to the point some of this code is used in production)- Develop a data-centric culture at Clemex to speed up model development (developed a data management solution using an open source platform, OMERO; now working on a labeling management solution and adoption of OMERO across teams)- Technical documentation of experiments, models, processes, and research findings (our docs are legendary across the company)- Shepherding computer vision projects from inception all the way through to in-house production use (so far I have packaged 3 algorithms: MEDCLEAN, a product to identify garbage particles in medical cleanliness applications; GRAINSEG, a product that segments a metal grain image even in the presence of common deformations; and a general purpose segmentation algorithm deployed in https://studio.clemex.ai/)- Define technical specification tasks with relevant stakeholders (performance metrics, important factors of variation in the images to be analyzed.)- Develop and evaluate new computer vision models to power up existing products based on latest scientific literature (hyperparameter optimization, transfer learning, model validation.)- Work collaboratively with both industry (METALTEC) and research groups (CM2 at Polytechnique, MILA, NASA.)- Apply and attend industry and research conferences to learn about the latest trends in the field and present our own research and products- Work closely with sales to give them basic AI literacy training- Present demos of our products to clients
