ABOUT HECTOR M DELGADO

With over 25 years of experience in pharmacy leadership, I am a passionate advocate for advancing pharmacy practice and elevating patient care standards. Currently, as the Outpatient Pharmacy Director at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, I lead a dynamic team of nearly 300 pharmacy team members across nine outpatient pharmacies and a complex pharmacy call center. My focus is on operational optimization, unwavering commitment to patient safety, and the relentless pursuit of innovative pharmacy solutions. I am driven by my dedication to advancing the pharmacy profession and enhancing patient care. Notably, I\'ve been recognized for building collaborative partnerships between pharmacy, the medical group, and regional leadership to improve the member experience. My career includes a strong emphasis on mentorship, and I take pride in nurturing the next generation of pharmacist leaders. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are at the core of my values. I firmly believe that a diverse and inclusive healthcare workforce is essential for delivering equitable care. Beyond my professional role, I serve on the Board of Directors for the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists, with a history of leadership roles in the local Southern California chapter. I am passionate about expanding access to pharmacy services, leveraging technology to enhance medication management, and advocating for the pharmacy profession.
