ABOUT JAMES CAPON

My fascination with technology began at a young age, spending time with my grandad, a telecommunications engineer. I grew up surrounded by wires, circuit boards, and old lamps, which sparked my interest in electronics. He taught me how to build simple circuits, and that early curiosity evolved into a deep passion for electrical engineering, leading me to study Electronic Engineering in school and pursue an electrical apprenticeship in college. At the same time, my love for the environment was nurtured by weekends spent building a pond in my grandparents’ garden. We’d collect minnows and sticklebacks from local rivers and watch frogs transform from spawn to adulthood. Those experiences not only ignited my passion for wildlife but also shaped my commitment to sustainability. Today, I’m fortunate to combine both of these passions—technology and the environment—working toward a more sustainable future. I hope to inspire others, including my own grandchildren one day, just as my grandad inspired me.
