About Heather van Helvoort
I’m a UX Lead and Senior Product Designer who drives end-to-end digital products through research, strategy, and measurable outcomes. My approach combines research insights, analytics, and experimentation to reduce risk, validate direction, and move teams forward with clarity. I’m especially interested in cognitive psychology and decision-making, and I apply that lens to build clearer journeys and stronger user confidence.Currently, I’m building digital home remodeling tools for Rebode, an organization within MasterBrand. I partner closely with product, engineering, and marketing to shape the roadmap, design against success metrics and KPIs, and deliver experiences that drive engagement and bring delight.Previously, I designed mostly B2C experiences for Fortune 100 brands at Wongdoody and Infosys, and shipped 0→1 consumer products at early-stage startups. Before transitioning into tech, I spent 12+ years as an apparel design leader, delivering global product ranges as both an IC and a design team lead (mentoring up to 8 designers). This part of my career shaped how I approach design. I shipped real, physical products, which taught me to think beyond pixels, balancing creativity with real-world constraints. Focus areas: UX leadership • Product strategy • AI-driven design • Interaction design • Visual design • User research • Discovery • Usability testing • Prototyping • Experimentation • Workshop facilitation • Information architecture • Design thinking • Systems thinking • Cross-functional collaboration
