ABOUT HEATHER NORLAND
I am a senior at UNC Chapel Hill from Dunn, North Carolina majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Biology and Neuroscience. I am a Blue Sky Scholar as well as an Honors Carolina student. When I am not in class, I am a part of the Scale and Coin Society which is UNC\'s premier business society. I am also active as Treasurer within the Carolina Pre-Optometry Association. I am interested in a career in patient care, specifically the medical field. Within the past year, I have been trained and certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant through Wisdom Health Academy. I have recently accepted two part-time positions as a CNA at Carol Woods Retirement Center as well as an Optometric Technician at Inview Eye Care. In addition to this, I am interested in international eye health care and hope to learn more about these health care systems while traveling abroad. Within the next few years, I hope to grow my knowledge of the Optometry field by shadowing Optometrists and working as a Technician.
