ABOUT HEATHER MCKENZIE
I am a journalist/editor/writer, specializing in the Life Sciences sector. My professional passion lies in playing a small part in the scientific quest to cure humanity’s most challenging diseases. In 2020, when the world turned upside down, mine turned right side up when I came home to my true calling: journalism. It turns out that when you put your whole heart into what you really love, things just have a way of working out. For me, those things are my family (human and feline), closest friends and my writing career. Nothing excites me more than telling an important, meaningful story. I strive to investigate some of the most pressing issues of our time, and on the creative side, I enjoy creating alternate universes to get lost in. I currently spend my days writing and editing feature articles for BioSpace and slowly (glacially) working on the next great Canadian/American novel. I\'m a social creature and enjoy meeting new people, so please drop me a line if you\'d like to talk baseball, animals or biopharma.
