About Heather M. Hastie

I am a self-starter with a passion for innovative and strategic human resource management. Proper human capital management and engagement can set you apart from other companies and it directly impacts your companies bottom line. I focus on utilizing innovation and changing processes to optimize overall efficiency and effectiveness to drive results. I have extensive experience in the administration of Human Resources functions for Dutchess County Government employees (about 600 employees) across three bargaining units.(PBA, DCSEA, CSEA) I participate in all levels of employees relations and labor relations.(FMLA, FLSA, ADA, NYS Human Rights Law, etc.) Most recently, I have completed the Federal EEO Investigator training and have been conducting EEO investigations. In addition, I have a total of over 7 years of public personnel administration. I graduated with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management and a minor in French. I also have and MBA from the SUNY Polytechnic Institute, where I concentrated in Technology Management and Human Resource Management. I look forward to any and all opportunities that will assist me in further developing my skills, as I feel it is critical to undertake as much as possible in every position and/or situation because it in the end is what will help you to learn and grow as an individual/professional.
