ABOUT HEATHER MCKAY
I\'m a Sustainable Finance Senior Policy Advisor at E3G, and a youth campaigner with a focus on climate finance and carbon policy-In the summer of 2017, I made the transition from a career in energy finance to pursue my passion for environmental policy and the clean-energy transition. Since then, I\'ve worked as a researcher in environmental economics for a variety of organisations, focusing on climate finance and carbon policy I\'m currently a Senior Policy Advisor working on Sustainable Finance outcomes in the UK. My previous role was as Founding Project Leader at the Climate Crisis Foundation, an organisation that aims to facilitate philanthropic donations towards climate change charities. In my spare time, I get the chance to campaign on climate change with the UKYCC, a fantastic youth led climate campaigning group, and was lucky enough to be a delegate at COP24 and the Bonn intersessionals in 2019.I also recently represented UK youth with the Student Energy Network at the 2019 Clean Energy Ministerial/Mission Innovation conference in Canada, and recently spoke on a panel at the Research and Innovation days at the European Commission in Brussels, 2019, on climate finance and inclusive perspectives on energy policy.I read Land Economy at Cambridge University, followed by Management Studies at the Judge Business School.
