Proud to receive a Big Society Award 2012Finalist: British Medical Journal Mental Health Team of the Year 2013As seen on \'Secret Millionaire\' November 2011 with Lee Stafford (who continues to raise funds for Being There as our patron)Being There provides emotional support, practical assistance and access to information for people suffering from all kinds of cancer and other life limiting conditions.Key responsibilities and achievements:• Brought in as new trustee, with commissioning experience, to avoid the charity losing contracts • Completed social return on investment analysis (trained by NEF) which helped retain contracts• Engineered and led the complete rewriting of the charity’s business plan• Entered Being There (as CALLPlus) for British Medical Journal mental health team of the year award. The charity was the only finalist from the voluntary sector in any category.
