WORK HISTORY
Content Editor @Times Higher Education
London, GB
Since the closure of the THE print magazine in December 2024 I have moved into a slightly different role within the company. Working across news, opinions and features, I still edit copy on the THE website, ensuring adherence to house style and optimising for SEO. In addition, I work in corporate communications, mainly writing press releases related to all THE’s university rankings. This entails a certain amount of data analysis and synthesis of information from various digital sources.Weekly and daily email newsletters have become increasingly important in driving traffic to our website so I am now involved in helping compile them, liaising with colleagues across the editorial and sales/marketing departments on content/adverts to be included each day/week.I continue to post editorial content on Bluesky, Facebook and X and help in monitoring web traffic.I am also involved in producing THE’s limited number of printed rankings supplements, which entails editing and fitting copy, as well as liaising with the external print company regarding our requirements for each edition.
