ABOUT HEATHER HICK

I am a transformational leader with an exceptional track record of addressing organizations’ mission-critical challenges though innovative problem solving and re-design solutions. My projects have led to significant improvements in operational efficiency, expense reduction, and customer service. I have strong change management skills, the proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders, and outstanding supply chain operations management capabilities. I’m equally effective at strategic planning and tactical implementation. I possess demonstrable abilities to lead, empower and meaningfully develop team members into the leaders of tomorrow. My philosophy is “do it once, do it right,” which I have consistently embedded in the teams with which I’ve led and worked with. This philosophy works irrespective of the industry you’re working in, and I have found it immensely helpful to guide my professional life with this thought. I have a very strong work ethic and believe in giving my very best at anything I undertake. I also have a strong sense of loyalty, and I work to instill this in the people I manage. When asked to describe myself as a vehicle, I said I was most like a 4X4 All-Wheel Drive SUV Hybrid. I am extremely versatile, adaptable, and hard working, and I can handle anything that is thrown at me. I manage whatever terrain I find myself on, and I do not rely on only one way to get somewhere and achieve results. I will utilize any, and all available resources to get where I’m going, and I can be equally economical and also give a powerful performance – whatever is needed. We moved from UK (via Germany and other locations) to Canada, and I am excited to bring my supply chain leadership competencies, project management, strategic planning, process improvement, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills to our home from home.
